FAQ

Fika FAQ.

Common questions about Fika — plans, billing, M-Pesa payments, migration, and getting started.

How does the 14-day free trial work?
Every new travel agency gets full access to all Starter or Growth features for 14 days with zero credit card required. At the end of the trial, you can choose a paid plan or continue with the Free plan with zero lock-in.
How do the plans differ? Can I start on Free?
Free is perfect for independent solo agents managing up to 100 bookings/month. Starter adds up to 5 team members, full CRM pipelines, and invoice generation. Growth unlocks workflow automation, safari itineraries, multi-currency support, and supplier commission tracking. Enterprise provides multi-branch franchise controls and custom API integrations.
Does the price change after the first-month offer?
Monthly plans can start with a first-month promotional offer when active. The plan cards show the current first-month and renewal prices. The first-month offer applies only to new monthly subscriptions and once per account. Yearly billing already has a lower monthly equivalent saving you 20%.
What is the difference between yearly and monthly billing?
Yearly billing charges once for the full year at the 20% lower monthly equivalent shown on each plan card ($39/mo equivalent for Starter, $119/mo for Growth). Monthly billing renews each month and can use the first-month offer.
Does Fika support regional payments like M-Pesa?
Yes! Fika natively integrates with Safaricom M-Pesa (Daraja API) for instant mobile money collections, automated payment receipt reconciliation, and supplier payouts, alongside card processing via Stripe.
Can we import our existing booking data and client contacts?
Yes. Fika provides CSV import tools for clients, reservations, supplier contacts, and lodge rates. Our onboarding team also provides white-glove migration assistance for Growth and Enterprise customers.
How does supplier commission and partner reconciliation work?
Fika tracks supplier commission tiers and uses built-in double-entry accounting to automatically balance client payments against supplier debts, eliminating end-of-month manual spreadsheet auditing.
How are charges handled after a plan change?
Moving to a higher tier or switching monthly to yearly takes effect immediately, granting the new benefits and only charging the prorated difference (your current plan's unused time is credited). To downgrade, please contact our support team.
Can I cancel a subscription anytime?
Yes. Canceling stops renewal but does not end current benefits immediately. The paid period remains usable until it ends, then the account returns to Free. Yearly cancellations keep benefits through the current yearly period.
How do refunds work?
Subscription fees are non-refundable. You can cancel your subscription at any time — after canceling, you keep full access for the rest of the current billing period, and we won't charge you anything once it ends.
